Apple has approved the dark sky meter after a long wait. Both lite and pro apps are on the app store now! The Dark Sky Meter is an affordable app to measure light pollution.

Lite version only shows the number of times the sky is bright as a natural clear sky
Pro version outputs SQM (18--22), has a light pollution map and a cloud forecast.

The app is developed with: Harro Treur, Mario Hodzelmans and the IDA officials.

Both will appear on the Dark Sky Meter homepage.

An important note:
Apple forced us to support the iPhone 4. Because it has a camera which is very bad at low light conditions, every measurement at or above SQM 20 is unreliable.

Thanks for reading.
