Joining the party
Well folks, I finally pulled the plug on a Dob :)
Sumerian Optics Dob with Orion Optics Ultra Grade 300mm f5.3 1/10λ on order.
Wish I could go wider but my back vetoed any such schemes.
Still, I am so looking forward to the possibilities of a 12" instrument. I love my fracks, but I need more aperture. It's not only about finding the target and ticking it off the list, but also about savouring a nice DSO dinner and immersing myself in the details that only a decent light bucket can provide...
Will be posting details as they come in from Michael Kalshoven of Sumerian Optics.

12" is a really great size scope. Still quite portable, no ladder required, light (relative) weight, but enough aperture to pull in plenty of deep sky targets in a dark sky.
You are wise to think about your back ... you only have one and it has to last for a long time.
Good deal and enjoy it next new moon
