M 27 in bicolor
Hello everybody,
about two years ago, I tried to make a bicolor of M 27. [OIII] is encoded in blue, H-beta is encoded red. In addition I generated a synthetic green channel from the sum of [OIII] and H-beta. The sketches I made during oberserving were made again with the same size, scanned and summed with color encoding. This is the result:

Excellent drawing Daniel, and an impressive way to make a color image. How did you combine your drawings into the final image?

Hey guys,
thanks!
@ Howard: It's pretty easy - I use the program imageJ. Its for free and originally made for usage in medicin. You can split a color image in its RGB channels or merge black/white images with color encoding to a merged color image.
Best regards
