Posting on behalf of workshop chair Howard Banich. For those who aren't aware, the Portland Alt-Az Workshop is a conference, founded by Russ Genet and chaired by Howard Banich, where people talk about telescope making / instrumentation projects, especially with the idea of adapting professional ideas to the amateur world. I first visited in 2019 in Portland and I was mind-blown by the cutting-edge telescope innovations people are making.

Last year, the workshop was held fully online using Zoom and the recordings are available on YouTube. This year, the workshop will not only be held online, but it will also be simulcast on YouTube live, so that it can entertain a much larger audience than last year.

The workshop follows Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). It begins tomorrow, Thursday Oct 20th 2021 at 6:00 PM PDT (Friday Oct 21st, 01:00 UTC) and goes on for four days thereafter.
