I tried several times to see the umbrella a few years back with the 48” but had no luck seeing it. Congratulations you are probably the first see it live with a telescope!

I report two attempts with similar results.

First at La Palma under very good transparency with a 20-inch. With 200x I noted: only suspected and not steadily visible; negative observation because of the uncertain view

Second this winter under again good but no perfect transparency with the 27-inch. With 172x I noted: extremely faint popping, no steadily visible and no certain success

So interestingly at both times something was there but one step below a sure observation. But I stay tuned.
