    Redish Stars in NGC 7789

I was out this past Saturday working my way through the H400 list and came across this cluster. It is a beautiful cluster pretty much any scope, but I got the chance to observe it with a 20in f/5 Obsession and a 35 Pan. The owner of the scope had not heard of this cluster but was very thankful that I mentioned it.

Anyway when I observed it with my 10in I did not notice the red stars in the cluster. In the 20in they are easily seen and make like a W shape with one really bright member. When I went back in to the 10in the bright member star was more orangish but the others that jumped out at me in the 20in did not seem to be really red.

Anyway I was wondering if anyone else had noticed them. Here is a pic from APOD that helps show them.
