    Cool Nice to be back!

Life generally got in the way and I'd not done much (any!) observing between June 2012 and May this year, thanks to really crummy weather, and I'd not posted on here, Cloudy Nights or many other places. Anyway, it's good to be back. Now that the dark nights will soon be returning, now the summer solstice is out the way, and the weather's taken a (slight) turn for the better, I'm hoping to get out observing a lot more.

I've got a couple of observing trips lined up for next year, Australia in March/April and then Texas Star Party in late May/early June. I was thinking of doing an observing trip to Texas or Arizona later this autumn, but my finances probably won't allow it!

Looking forward to new reports. The sky here is only half a magnitude brighter in summer than in winter, and still I am also glad we are past the turning point now.
