Boring Horse Head - Barnard 33

    Hello Forum,

B 33 is an often visited object. Large aperture + Hß let the object been visible easily - the next target is often adjust within minutes. But particularly with large aperture >15" it could be a detailed and spectacular dark nebula. Three month ago I took a lot of time with the horse head in combination with my 27" + Hß. The sky conditions were very good, the magnification lies between 113x-172x (AP 6,1mm-4,0mm).

The result impressed my, a lot of detail could been seen, that I doesn't know before. Especially a faint glow within the neck of the head impressed me.

I would be interested in more sketches or observing reports.
