Its here!

With over 700 downloads of the 1st edition, many people recognize that Alvin Huey has created a piece of art in the 2012 OOTW downloadable guide. And as of tonight, he has just released the newest edition of the immensely popular Object of the Week guidebook! The 2013 edition OOTW PDF is now available!

Just like last years edition, each object will have its own finder chart & DSS image as well as all pertinent comments and replies made by members. But Alvin took it upon himself to improve a few things.

  1. He added some color images. The look and feel of the guide is just amazing. It has the feel of a professionally published book!
  2. Alvin has added some short bios of each OOTW author.
  3. Alvin has also added a small section titled "Off the Beaten Path" objects. In this section you'll find objects Alvin deemed worthy and interesting enough to place in his guidebook. Just like the OOTW's, these objects are all from the forum.

What does this all amount to? A guidebook that is nearly 250 pages long containing nearly 100 unique and challenging objects! Its a wealth of information for the visual deep sky observer. No where else on the internet will you find such an organized and in depth reference of some of the most interesting objects in the night sky!

Just as before, you can only get this download from Alvins website. Head on over to http://www.faintfuzzies.com/Download...ngGuides2.html and download the 27mb file. You'll find it about half way down the page. The PDF was designed to be printed and bound as a book but feel free to print just the pages you need.

And just like last year, this invaluable resource is FREE! No signup, no registration, no payment of any kind. Once you see the work he's put into this years edition, you'll be amazed that it actually is free.

So head on over to his great website and get yourself a copy. And if you like what you see, drop him a little note. He's put alot of hard work into this and I'm sure he'd love to hear some feedback.

Thank you Alvin!
