Last night I was out observing a pair of galaxies which are currently in CNC to the left of Jupiter.

NGC 2794/5 are both about 390 million light years away according to their redshift.

Both were visible with averted vision only in my 16 inch scope in mag 5.5 skies but it was a great view. 2794 seemed brighter and round. 2795 was oval and slightly fainter.

They are much easier than those pesky faint ones embedded in M44.

Give them a try.
