    My only log note for 2685 is from 2005 using a 25", and is rather rudimentary. (Back then I scribbled notes on paper and transcribed them into Sky Tools later, sometimes days later. This tended to limit the amount of detail in the logs.) Although there is no way to be sure now, I presume this note alludes to the NW bulge:

    "Almost edge-on spiral, birght core, halo extends farther in one direction. With averted vision, the halo gets fatter, but not much longer."
